We run an equipment rental scheme for our players. It covers everything you need except for inline skates. The total cost is €60 per year.
Ice Hockey Equipment
Mandatory Requirements:
All players and officials are required to wear the following during all Irish Ice Hockey Association training sessions, activities and games.
- Helmet with Full Cage
- Shorts with Jock
- Neck guard
- Shoulder/chest Pads
- Gloves
- Elbow Pads
- Shin Pads
- Shorts
- Hockey Socks
- Hockey Skates
- Hockey Stick

Inline Hockey Equipment
Mandatory Requirements:
All officials and players are required to wear the following during all Inline Hockey Ireland activities such as training sessions and games.
- Helmet. CSA/HECC-approved helmets, with a properly-fastened chin strap are mandatory for players and officials. Goaltenders must wear approved face masks.
- Full face protection (cage or full shield) is required for players under 18.
- Gloves – approved ice/inline hockey gloves.
- Elbow Pads – approved elbow pads.
- Shin Guards – shin guards designed for ice or roller hockey.
- Skates – Skates must be in-line skates, but should not be aggressive skating skates. Skates must be free of any unsafe protrusions.
- Eyeglasses – Any eyeglasses must have plastic, not glass, lenses.
- Jersey and Long Pants – As all equipment must be covered a jersey and long pants are required.
